WIPO Director General Daren Tang welcomes Armenia’s accession to the Marrakesh Treaty. With Armenia’s membership, the Treaty now covers 115 countries. The WIPO-administered Marrakesh Treaty makes the production and international transfer of specially-adapted books for people with blindness or visual impairments easier – expanding their learning, education and leisure opportunities.
Ambassador Andranik Hovhannisyan, Permanent Representative of Armenia to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva, deposited the instrument of accession on June 1, 2022.
