Cabo Verde Prime Minister Explains How His Country Grows with Intellectual Property

On the sidelines of the WIPO Assemblies 2022, Ulisses Correia e Silva, Prime Minister of Cabo Verde explains the importance of innovation, technology and human capital for job creation, business growth, and economic and social development of his country.
"In Cabo Verde we believe that we need to be on the cutting edge of innovation, technology and everything that adds value through human capital. And that’s why we believe that intellectual property is not only for the developed world, or rich countries”, he said.
Mr. Correia e Silva delivered a keynote during the opening of the WIPO Assemblies 2022 that are taking place in Geneva, Switzerland from July 14-22.
