Czech Republic Joins Geneva Act of WIPO’s Lisbon Agreement

WIPO Director General Daren Tang welcomes the accession of the Czech Republic to the Geneva Act of the Lisbon Agreement on Appellations of Origin and Geographical Indications. The Czech Republic becomes the 57th country of WIPO’s Lisbon System through which owners of geographical indications can protect their unique products such as Bohemia Crystal, Český Porcelán, or Kraslické Krajke through one single procedure.
Ambassador Václal Bálek, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, deposited the instrument of accession on June 2, 2022.
