WIPO Director General Daren Tang welcomes Norway’s accession to the Marrakesh Treaty. With Norway’s membership, the Treaty now covers 105 countries. The WIPO-administered Marrakesh Treaty makes the production and international transfer of specially-adapted books for people with blindness or visual impairments easier – expanding their learning, education and leisure opportunities.
Ambassador Tine Mørch Smith, Norway’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other International Organizations in Geneva, deposited the instrument of accession on August 31, 2021.
